NextGen Advisor ("we", "us", or "our") built the MRE Site Tracker app. This page informs users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and operate the app:

• Account credentials — username and hashed password used to log in to the app.
• User profile data — name and assigned role (e.g. Supervisor, Planner, Manager).
• Project and site data — construction project names, site names, locations, progress records, and schedules entered by users.
• Work records — activity items, materials, bills of materials (BOM), key dates, design documents, and delivery schedules.
• Financial records — contract values, invoice amounts, budget data, advance payments, retention amounts, and payment records entered by Commercial Manager users.
• Photos — images captured or uploaded by users to document site progress or activities.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

• Authenticate users and provide role-based access to project data.
• Display and manage construction site progress, scheduling, and reporting.
• Generate PDF reports and enable data export/backup functionality.
• Synchronise data between the device and the project server for team collaboration (only when sync is enabled).
• Maintain app functionality and improve performance.

3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

• On-device storage — all project data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database (SQLite/WatermelonDB). Data remains on your device unless you enable synchronisation.
• Server synchronisation — when sync is enabled by the user, data is transmitted to Firebase (Google LLC). Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Photos — captured images are stored in the device's local storage and are uploaded to the server when data synchronisation is active.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Data is not shared except:

• Within your organisation — project data is shared among authorised team members in the same project when synchronisation is enabled.
• Google LLC (Firebase) — acts as our data processor for server synchronisation. They do not access your data for their own purposes.
• As required by law — if required to comply with a legal obligation or protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as the app is installed and in use. Users or administrators may delete project data, sites, or accounts at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from the device. Data stored on the sync server will be retained until an administrator requests deletion by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

MRE Site Tracker is intended for professional use by adults (18+) in the construction and infrastructure industry. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted local database storage on the device.
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted to the server.
• Role-based access controls ensuring users can only access data relevant to their role.
• Password hashing — passwords are never stored in plain text.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data held about you within the app.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.
• Withdraw consent for server synchronisation at any time by disabling sync in the app settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
